Looking to get custom soccer scarves made, but you don’t know what the design should be? Don’t worry; we’ve got a few tips here for you when submitting a design request.
Colors: Keep in mind that a soccer scarf shouldn’t be too busy and exploding with colors. Keep it to 4-5 different colors at maximum, and keep the color names simple (i.e. dusty road brown, as opposed to light brown). If you don’t know what the color’s name would be, send us a picture of your school or club’s jersey or other piece of sporting apparel that has the color on it, our design team is excellent at matching colors in this way.
Design: Unless you’ve got a very specific request of how you want the scarf to look (i.e. bar scarf, or argyle pattern, etc.), don’t worry about getting too nitty gritty with it. Our Ruffneck design team comes back with 5-10 different styles of scarves in every mock up for you to choose from. Remember also, that scarves have two sides to them, so if you want one side to have your team’s name, with the other side having your team’s war cry, that’s perfectly ok, and doesn’t cost any extra. All you need to tell us is what you want it to say, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Logos: Logos on the ends of the scarves are a classic way to show your team’s pride! When designing, try to use a simpler logo, that doesn’t have a whole lot of detail in it. Soccer scarves are knitted at 90 degree angles, meaning that super complex logos tend to come out looking “pixilated” and slightly distorted, so the simpler the logo, the cleaner it will look.
